High Jump and Pole Vault Bed steel roll-over covers protect landing areas.  No more vandalism or accidental damage whilst your valuable landing bed is not in use.  Also protects against animal damage. 

Constructed on a strong metal frame with galvanised steel panels, these covers have jacking wheels for easy movement.  Can be designed with various door designs to fit your exact structure.

Steel Roll-Over Landing Area Cover Features

Structure

  • Galvanised Steel frame and panels
  • Made to measure for your system.  Suitable for Pole Vault or High Jump
  • Can be made to fit uprights (if laid flat or folding)
  • HJ covers are usually in one single piece
  • PV covers are manufactured in two separate pieces with a join in the middle.  This is to make it more moveable.  The join is not watertight.

Doors

  • Doors are usually hung from the top, and should be removed before moving
  • Smaller covers may have mid-opening side-hinged doors
  • High Jump door options:
    • Doors to front (to push cover to the back of bed when in use)
    • Doors to end - short side (to push cover to the side of bed when in use)
  • Pole Vault door options:
    • Doors to both front & back (useful for where a double-ended runway is used and the bed can be sited at either end of the runway)
    • Door to either front or back (to push the cover to the back or front of the bed)

Wheels

  • Heavy-duty jacking wheels to raise the cover off the ground prior to moving.
  • Each cover (or section) has two fixed wheels and two swivel wheels.  The fixed wheels make it easier to keep the bed straight when pushing it off the bed, whereas the swivel wheels enable the cover to be turned.

Steel Roll-Over Cover Installation Requirements

The metal landing area cover will be installed on delivery, but pre-installed ground features are required:

  1. Hard-standing to allow the jacking wheels to run smoothly when moving. 
  2. Ground sockets to enable the cover to be secured against wind
