Omnilite spikes are just 1/3rd of the weight of steel ones and are designed in conjunction with Mondo to be perfectly suited to their tracks. Christmas Tree style spikes compress the track rather than penetrating it, and have been reported to give a better return on Mondo surfaces.
Omnilites wear quicker than steel spikes - definitely not for walking on concrete.

Lee Valley Track
Lee Valley has confirmed that athletes can use 5mm & 7mm Omnilite Pyramid spikes. Steel pyramid spikes are not permitted.
